I have been coming here almost every summer since I was born. There is something about these mountains that capture you the moment your in their midst. These peaks give off such a strong positive energy its hard not to love being around and on top of them. This past month I visited the 14,150 ft summit of Sneffels for the second time making sure to capture the amazing views on the way up and down.

Valdez and Thompson pass has to be one of the most amazing places I have ever been. The things I learned and experiences I had blew away any thing else I have ever done in my 13 years of snowboarding. My only regrets being not snowboarding as much as I would have liked and not being able riding a true AK line for myself. But every one I shot sure got some and more. I was stoked to just watch, shoot and have the chance to be in this incredible place. Hopefully someday I will make it up there again!
We broke the trip in to two featured stories. Part One being all snowmobile accessed zones on Thompson Pass and Part Two being all zones accessed by a heli. Click below to check out my photo galleries and the very smooth edit by Mark Dangler from the SNOWREV AK trip.
