Stoked to be work with the Levitation Project this season. Lot’s of good plans in the works and its shaping to be one of my best season yet. Really excited to get move on things once the snow allows us to! Check out brand spakin new Levitation site as well as my bio on there.
Summer sure is cooking the heat these days. Here is a little cool off. POV on a powy December day last season. All this takes is a fast five minute hike off the lift at Brighton and you got yourself some goods! Nothing better than fast frontside turns and riding with out the Angry Midget on my back.

Not a whole lot going on around here expect lots and lots of snow. I had a deep powder day at Brighton yesterday that seemed like it was in January or something. Right now they have around a 140 inch base, everywhere out of bounds is completely untracked and holding deep snow… not to mention tonight its supposed to puke another 10inches followed by another 4-5 the next day. A lot of people around here seem in “over it” mode and don’t really come riding anymore which means: Deserted resorts and lots of untracked new snow! Hey I’m not complaining…. Hopefully the weather is better tomorrow to shoot something or worst case scenario I have another pow day with no camera… No objections to that!
For now check out the best victory lap ever. Shaun White had two victory laps at the Open for slope and pipe and neither compared to how cool Bode’s was. Sequence of Bode Merrill stomping a frontside invert on the flaming log extension at the World Quarterpipe Championships last month. He got 1st place a mini bike and $1,000 in quarters…. Best contest ever!

So the World Superpipe Championships went down at Park City the other week. It was my first time shooting it and I was coming in to it thinking another pipe contest nothing really special… same people, same tricks different venue. Which for the most part was true but what made this pipe event different from the rest was how Park City handled the media. First off was a pass to the riders reception dinner the night before in the Legacy Lodge with free dinner, drinks and dessert. Secondly they only gave out a limited number of deck photo passes with made it mellow to shoot anywhere. Thirdly another amazing free meal right after men’s final of salad, mash potato’s, bread, cookies, veggies and their were two guys slicing your choice of meat right off bone for you followed by a free beverage bar. March has started off pretty good. For one.. just paid my last months rent yesterday and now good and ready to find a new better pad here in SLC. Secondly just stopped by Milo and picked up the new March Issue of Blisss and stoked to see I got bunch of photos in there…. Lonnie climbing in Yosmite and an X Games spread. While I was hustling down in Socal my good friend and fellow Revolution Photographer George Crosland was up in the Northwest shooting the 5th Annual Holy Oly Revival at Summit Snowqualmie.
