Location: Snowboarder Superpark 12: The Son of Berserker – Mammoth, California.
The 2008 Superpark 12 at Mammoth was another first for me. I remember back in middle school the first time I had read about Superpark in Snowboarder mag in particular the photo sequence of Travis Rice doing an insane 100 + foot rodeo. I remember studying all the photos as well reading the funny stories about Bridges rolling around on a sled shooting poachers with a paintball gun. Well I had finally gotten my chance to come to Superpark, not to ride as I had imaged when I was younger but to help document everything that went down. Day one was pretty chaotic but after each day and each bigger feature opened most riders were weeded out while only the best and gnarliest were left standing. One of the main standouts being Pat Moore. This wasn’t a surprise after his showings from the last couple of Superparks, he sure knows how to leave his mark. This year was no exception expect I was able to witness it first hand. He killed it and here’s the proof.

Man Game with CIIAIR

This is a pretty funny photo set I shot earlier this yea for my buddies clothing company CIIAIR. These photos are all about the reactions deep in an intense session of the Man Game. I had never heard of it or played before but the rules are: Sit a table with a couple of beverages, light a firework on the table and who ever last sitting down the longest wins. That alone should give a small insight on how these characters live.
From the Depths of the Gorge

Jump in for a quick visual trip down in the depths of the Owens river Gorge with Lonnie Kauk and Matt Styles. This place has some amazing rock formations that attract climbers from all over the world. Luckily Lonnie and Styles have this massive playground right in their backyard.

CllAIR Out Takes

I recently headed down south to shoot my homies new clothing company CIIAIR in Newport. CIIAIR is a solid hand sewn surf vs skate inspired, rider driven company. From what I hear they are becoming a pretty big deal around the beach area and planning a massive full blow attack on the industry down there.
For just some what of a test shoot we packed quite a punch in about 3 hour time frame getting in three locations while battling a sketchy marsh, college art building and some crazy fireworks. Pretty stoked on the results and can’t wait to finish everything up with them. For more info check CIIAIR.COM
