Tuesday, October 4th, 2011Transworld Nov. 2011 – Snowbird Utah Breakdown with Forrest Shearer
Tuesday, October 4th, 2011Last season was a total blur of powder at this place. I have never had a better winter in my life! There is only a handful of shredders that really know every single bump, cliff, chute and line on this mountain and Forrest is one of them. Definitely one of the best people to follow around the bird on a nuclear day if you can keep up him…. but you probably can’t. Forrest gives a quick breakdown of a few good lines off the Cirque in the new TWS November issue. Go check it!
- It took me a litte over an hour skin to get this shot from just under little Superior across the canyon. Let just say the run down was totally worth it!

Coulter continues to crushes it as usual and I have been fortunate enough to spend a bunch of early mornings following him around the Wasatch as well as sharing a few epic days heli shredding in Alaska. This homie is a machine in the mountains and there is no one else I rather skin behind than him!! Be sure to pick up a free copy or flip through the online issue HERE.
A Cold Commute
Monday, August 15th, 2011SLIDESHOW | Snowboarding Haines Alaska 2010
Thursday, August 11th, 2011A small photographic glimpse into a few weeks in the Haines life with The Levitation Project Athletes Chris Coulter & Wyatt Caldwell.
The journey starts on the small connection from Juneau to Haines flying over the Lynn Canal straight into the first day out in the heli. The weather turns for the worst and the countless down days are spent in the hotel, bar and exploring the surrounding beaches and forests. After a small weather break a quick snowmobile session is spent in the vast terrain over the Canadian boarder on Haines pass. No better way to ends things than an epic northern lights show followed by a wall to wall blue day with an unreal sunset heli spine session.
You can check out more from this trip in the most recent Frequency Issue 8.4 Photo Book -

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011San Juan Scenics
Wednesday, June 15th, 2011I have been visiting the San Juan’s every summer since I can remember. Some of my earliest memories were in a old CJ-7 exploring the hundreds of jeep trails in and around Ouray, Silverton and Telluride. My dads side of the family roots run deep through this area dating back to the 60′s when my Grampa hand built a family cabin a hundred mines north of Ouray in the small town of Pitkin. I have no clue why it has taken me so long but this year I took my first real winter trip out to Silverton. I couldn’t believe what I had been missing out on all these years. It was a trip to shred and snowmobile the same zones I had been jeeping through since I was a young kid. The San Juan’s give of such a strong presence its hard not to love being there. I hope to make Silverton a staple in my winter schedule from here on out!
